TREBLES ALL ROUND FOR WHEATO!!!

11th May - For the first time probably this Century, all three Wheathampstead teams clocked up victories over the weekend. Details to follow......

NEW PAVILION

Work is progressing well on the new pavilion, with hope that it will be ready in June. Many thanks to St Albans District Council and Wheathampstead Parish Council, in particular Judy Shardlow and Annie Brewster, for award of grants totalling £3,500 to assist in refurbishing the building.

NEW PLAYERS WANTED

As we gear up for the new season a quick reminder - the club is always looking for new players. All ages / standards welcome. We have three sides, two league sides that play on Saturdays and a friendly side that plays on Sundays. Matches are held most Saturdays and Sunday over the Summer at Nomansland Common starting at 2pm. Spectators are always very welcome. We can't always promise to win, or to provide sunny weather, but we can promise the friendliest club in Hertforshire and a packed social calendar. Help us to keep alive the tradition of village cricket in Wheathampstead which stretches back to 1824. If you would like to come along just send us an email through the mailform on the righthand side of the webpage. We look forward to hearing from you.

CRICKET CLUB CALENDAR
To raise the profile of the club following the devastating fire at the start of the season, a 2008 Calendar has been produced using pictures taken by Phil Ross, some of which were published by the Herts Advertiser in conjunction with match reports.  A limited number of these calendars have been produced.  Copies can be obtained from phil.ross@btinternet.com  01727 846605 for £7:50p to include p&p. It is a full colour A4 wire-bound calendar with a different member of the team on each page, with a group photograph on the front cover.
